Long Island
Multi-Faith Forum
The Long Island Multi-Faith Forum was founded by the Long Island Council of Churches and Auburn Theological Seminary in 1994. Followers of Baha'i, Brahma Kumaris, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism, Judaism, Native American Spirituality, Sikhism, Unitarian Universalism, and Yoga Spirituality have come together to:
- promote a peaceful and just society that recognizes the value of each person; - affirm publicly that religious pluralism is a reality on Long Island and is to be valued; - acquaint residents with the faith traditions of Long Island through ritual, music, dance, fellowship, and education; - work toward building a society that celebrates the value of every person by promoting peace and justice for all.
